The Chicago Bulls have made a great start to the 2014/15 NBA season and find themselves near the top of the Eastern Conference. GiveMeSport grabbed an exclusive interview with three-time NBA Champion Bruce Bowen who was in London to launch the Luol Deng Academy's partnership with the NBA and for the Global Games at the O2 Arena, and Bowen gave us his thoughts on the impressive Bulls.

Bulls 2015 Champs?

We asked Bowen who his favourites for the NBA title were this season, and the man with three rings to his named picked out his former side and defending Champions the San Antonio Spurs, as well as a name that came as a bit of a shock, the Chicago Bulls.

"Every year when ESPN asks me that silly question, I always go with the team that won it all before because they're the Champions. So San Antonio is going to be there i believe, and possibly Chicago," Bowen said.

Gasol the Star

Bowen went on to say who he thought the Bulls' key man would be, and it wasn't Derrick Rose. Rather, he believes that Pau Gasol is the driving force behind the Bulls playoff hopes.

"Even with Derrick Rose's injuries. They got that man named Paul Gasol! He is being appreciated in Chicago, unlike under the tutelage of Mike D'Antoni. D'Antoni didn't utilise Pau top the best of his abilities. But now you see Pau re-invented himself and had a career high last night. Who'd have thought he would've done that after all those years in the NBA to today."
