Jon Jones is out of rehab after just one night as he attempts to bounce back from a failed drugs tests for cocaine.

The UFC light heavyweight champion voluntarily entered rehab after the results of a pre-UFC 182 drugs test were revealed to the public.

Using his NFL playing brothers showdown in the AFC Championship game as a reason to enter the public spotlight again so quickly only attracted more ire from fans and other fighters, who have rounded on the pound-for-pound king in the last 24 hours.

Family comes first

The news of Jones' departure from rehab was revealed by the MMA Supremacy Twitter account - who also revealed his reasoning.

Brotherly love prompts change of heart

Jones' brother Arthur and Chandler, are set to meet in the NFL's AFC Championship match, a game that decides which team goes to the Superbowl.

Arthur plays defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts and was part of the Baltimore Ravens Superbowl winning team last year.

Their brother Chandler, also plays at defensive end but for the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots and are looking for their first since title since 2004.

They tried to make him go to rehab...

Jones' test failure had already drawn derision from parts of the MMA world and the subsequent 'rehab' was seen nothing more as a PR attempt.

Rather than wait it out and try to prove a point that he was serious about any rehab, Jones has instead only given vindication to those who say he was never serious about rehab.

ONE FC Welterweight champion, and UFC critic, Ben Askren took to Twitter with a photoshopped picture of Jones over the face of Amy Winehouse.

It's certainly not the PR turnaround that Jones or the UFC are expecting but after it emerged that results from Jones' fight night result are not back yet - it could be the calm before the storm.
