Arsenal have offered talented young striker Chuba Akpom a new three-year contract in an attempt to ward off interest from a host of rival European suitors. The 19-year-old has just six months remaining on his current deal at the Emirates, and Arsene Wenger is keen for the talented teenager to commit his long-term future to the Gunners. Feyenoord, FC Twente and Borussia Dortmund have all been mooted as admirers of Akpom, who is thought to be weighing up his options based on where he'll get the best chance for regular first-team football. He is allowed to speak to foreign clubs this month which increases the risk of Arsenal losing the marksman on a Bosman free transfer - a scenario that would prompt inevitable criticism from angry supporters excited about the potential Akpom has shown over the past 12 months.
