Adrian win's thrilling FA cup replay at Upton Park

West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian was the toast of the terraces at Upton Park last night after his heroics helped the Hammers see off ten-man Everton in a thrilling FA Cup third round replay. The 28-year-old Spaniard scored the winning spot-kick in a penalty shootout that finished 9-8, after the two Premier League sides couldn't be separated following 120 minutes of football which ended in a 2-2 draw. Tennis now, and Andy Murray has been seeded sixth for the upcoming Australian Open, where the British No.1 will be looking to make it fourth time lucky and claim his third Grand Slam title. The three-time finalist is behind Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, Stan Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori for the first major tournament of 2015 which begins next Monday. And finally Rugby Union, where London Irish have confirmed the appointment of Tom Coventry as their new head coach from the start of next season.
