The 28th annual Royal Rumble match is now less than two weeks away and The Lunatic Fridge has become the latest member of the WWE roster to be added to the headline match.

The former United States Champion looked set to endure some punishment at the hands of The Authority this week on Raw after he went against their wishes and partnered his "brother" Roman Reigns on Smackdown.

Instead Stephanie McMahon sent Ambrose to therapy with Dr. Corbett after she made the decision that if the therapist didn't sign the papers he would be deemed unfit to play a part in the Royal Rumble match.

In typical Ambrose fashion, he passed the image association part of his therapy when he was asked to say the word that he associated with certain members of The Authority and Jim Duggan.

When camera's returned backstage a while later, Ambrose had taken the role as the therapist and Dr. Corbett was crying on the sofa telling him about his life.

Ambrose told him to sign some papers and he would get the help he required, the doctor did as asked and the former Shield member was added to the Royal Rumble match.

He is now the sixth superstar to be added to the 30-man-rumble match with Dean's brother Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Bad News Barrett, Rusev and Daniel Bryan the only announced participants so far.

The Lunatic's night wasn't over there as he came out and interrupted Rusev just as he was telling the WWE Universe that he was going to win the Royal Rumble match.

The two then had their scheduled match and Ambrose was deemed unable to continue part way through because Rusev had targeted the knee he injured in the ambulance match the previous week when he faced Bray Wyatt.

Ambrose proved his intentions and showed that he will stop at nothing in the Royal Rumble match in just over a week's time. The former Shield member has already been tipped as one of the favourites to win and go on to main event Wrestlemania for the first time in his short WWE career.
