Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has taken to Twitter to praise his girlfriend Edurne Garcia after it was announced that she would be performing for Spain at the 2015 Eurovision, reports the Daily Mail.
De Gea, who has been in fine form for the Red Devils throughout the course of the campaign so far, has insisted that he's extremely proud of Garcia, as she prepares herself for this year's worldwide event.
Garcia, then, will sing 'Amanecer' on May 23 at the Vienna Stadthalle in Austria, and she's revealed that De Gea was very happy for her after finding out about the news.
The 29-year-old singer has also insisted that she's 'very very happy' with the Manchester United goalkeeper, but has revealed that the player's league commitments could prevent him from attending the event.
After the Eurovision announcement, Garcia said: "He was very happy for me when I told him, just like my family and friends. The people who love you share in your good news.
"David and I are very very happy together. I think he's going to be tied up with league commitments but I hope he can be there at the final along with my family and friends so we can live the experience together."
De Gea, meanwhile, took to Twitter to congratulate his girlfriend, as the pair continue to achieve great things...
Away from Eurovision, and De Gea will be desperate to continue his fine form as the Red Devils travel to Loftus Road to take on QPR on Saturday afternoon.
After conceding the only goal of the game in United's defeat to top four rivals Southampton this past weekend, De Gea and Co. will be determined to secure a positive result this weekend.
There's no doubt about it, Manchester United fans will certainly be expecting the club to secure all three points as they look to bounce back immediately in London.
United fans will also be hoping that their No.1 commits his long term future with the club in the near future, with the Spaniard out of contract at the Theatre of Dreams at the end of next season.
