Sir Alex Ferguson lookalike spotted at Manchester City

Football News

Sir Alex Ferguson was manager of the biggest club in the world for over 27-years so it is fair to say he has earned a few days of leisure in his retirement.

The Manchester United legend has his own statue outside of Old Trafford and his own stand within it, but it seems as though to Scotsman wanted a change of scenery this weekend.

A photo on Twitter appears to show Ferguson himself at the Etihad preparing to watch Manchester City take on Arsenal on Sunday night. He came dressed in a typical manager's coat complete with the famous Citizens emblem, giving further strength to the illusion.

It's definitely not him...probably

But don't worry Manchester United fans, we are 80 per cent sure that the fellow in the photo is indeed an everyday lookalike of Ferguson, or possibly a long-lost twin.

Considering Ferguson's last appearance at Old Trafford, you wouldn't blame him for switching to the Blue side of Manchester. The OAP was forced to sit through 90 minutes of incompetence from Louis van Gaal's men as they went down 1-0 to Southampton.

Manchester City didn't cover themselves in glory last night either though. Manuel Pellegrini saw his title chasers lose 2-0 to perennial underachievers Arsenal, who themselves performed admirably.
