Football News

It was a momentous night in the NBA tonight with the fans of the New York Knicks cheering louder than anyone.... for once.

New York got their sixth win of the season after coming away with a close 99-92 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks snapped a franchise record 16 game losing streak with their win tonight and gave the fans hope of starting a run from now.

Carmelo Anthony was on top form for the Knicks as they got a massive win as Anthony came away with 24 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Tyreke Evans did his best for the Pelicans scoring 23 points himself but it just wasn't enough on a strong night for the Knicks.

Now at 6-36, the Knicks have been under a lot of scrutiny this year with many asking if they are the worst team in NBA history?

The Knicks may have ended their losing streak at the right time with some relatively friendly matches on the horizon.

Going on the road to the Philadelphia 76ers and then onto the Orlando Magic back in New York the game after, they could quite easily find themselves on a three game winning streak.

LeBron continues to send a message

The Cleveland Cavaliers' season of dramatic turnarounds continued tonight as they now find themselves on a three game winning streak.

After an emphatic 108-94 win over the Chicago Bulls tonight, LeBron James' return to the team has clearly been the spark they needed.

LeBron scored 26 points on the night and came away with 15 rebounds and four assists as he helped lead the Cavaliers to a huge win.

Cleveland rise to 22-20 on the season and remain in the seeded positions in the East as their luck once again seems to have turned.

Toronto send a huge message

The Toronto Raptors great season continued tonight as they got a very important win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Raptors went into Milwaukee on a two game losing streak but came out with a very narrow 92-89 win over the Bucks.

Kyle Lowry starred for Toronto coming away with 18 points and despite the Bucks' Brandon Knight scoring 20, it wasn't enough for the home team.

Cousins' efforts go to waste

DeMarcus Cousins put in a big effort for the Sacramento Kings tonight but even his double-double wasn't enough to give them a win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Portland claimed the four point win beating the Kings 98-94 and relying heavily upon Damien Lillard's 22 point game.

Cousins put in a great game for Sacramento scoring 22 points and getting 19 rebounds in the game.
