Raheem Sterling laughs off hilarious WWE memes of John Terry incident

Anfield has seen plenty of bizarre moments. Steven Gerrard's title-losing slip was one of them last season but this campaign has found its very own insane moment.

This time it was Raheem Sterling who took centre stage with a little help from Chelsea captain John Terry. But rather than the incident going down as a devastating one for Liverpool fans, this was more of an equally hilarious and awkward one for all concerned.

As most football fans will be aware by now, on Tuesday night in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Chelsea, Sterling and Terry managed to end up on the turf playing around in what can only be described as some kind of Twister game gone horribly wrong.

Safe to say come Wednesday morning Sterling saw the funny side of the incident in which he ended up on the turf with Terry's legs wrapped round his head.

WWE memes managed to make the rounds on Wednesday morning which included a particularly hilarious one of the incident taking place inside a WWE ring, with Sterling trying desperately to tag in his tag-team partner for the night, wrestler Kane. Just hilarious and mental in equal measure.

Sterling subsequently took to Instagram to give his view on the memes with this comment, "This pik made me laugh."

Glad to know not all football players have lost their sense of humour.
