The final show before this Sunday's Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View was action packed as the big 30-man battle royal came a few days early for the WWE Universe.

Daniel Bryan featured prominently in the eventual chaos at the end of the show but there were some faces back on TV that the fans were happy to see.

The previously fired Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan were back in attendance and ready to fight after they were rehired by the Authority.

The trio were hired once again after the Vigilante Sting showed up and cost Seth Rollins a match that forced the Authority to rehire the members of Team Cena.

All three then looked to gain access to this Sunday's Royal Rumble through qualifying matches throughout the night.

The show opened with Daniel Bryan coming to the ring and bringing down the three returning superstars to address the WWE Universe for the first time in two weeks.

This drew the attending members of the Authority out and as the men traded insults, Kane eventually dropped the bomb on the stars.

Revealing that they would face qualifying matches against stars who have already earned their way into the Royal Rumble.

Daniel Bryan vs Kane

The main event was a no disqualification match between Kane and Daniel Bryan with Bryan's entry into the Royal Rumble at stake.

J&J Security were at ringside to try and help Kane and although they did their best, it didn't quite work out as a bad week for the Authority continued.

As Bryan gained the win over Kane, he quickly escaped the clutches of the Authority only to be ambushed by the Big Show and dragged back down to the ring.

The eventual beat down drew Ryback, Rowan and Ziggler to the ring in aid of their friend.

Eventually the entire locker room emptied into the ring as a mass amount of humanity were joined by Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.

The ring eventually emptied with some of the Royal Rumble's biggest contenders left standing.

Dolph Ziggler vs Bad News Barrett

Ziggler's first night back on WWE TV he was given a match against the man who two weeks away took away his Intercontinental Championship.

Bad News Barrett gave Ziggler a hard fought match but the show-off got the win after hitting the zig zag.

Ryback vs Rusev

Ryback was given perhaps the biggest test in his Royal Rumble qualifying match as he was forced to go up against the Bulgarian brute Rusev.

The two powerhouses brawled with each showing their impressive strength and eventually Ryback looked close to a win.

Going for the meathook clothesline, Rusev rolled out of the ring and forced Ryback to come and fight him on the outside.

Ryback obliged and eventually had Rusev on the ground and was forced to run back to the ring in order to avoid being counted out and get the win.

Erick Rowan vs Luke Harper

The two former Wyatt Family members squared off as Harper attempted to thwart the efforts of Rowan to get into the Royal Rumble.

It was a good match between the two but Harper would get the win making Rowan the first big name to be absent from the Royal Rumble.

Naomi vs Brie Bella

Paige and Natalya were on commentary as Brie Bella took on Naomi with her sister Nikki at ringside.

Brie got the win with the two teams who are set to face off at the Royal Rumble stared each other down.
