Dwyane Wade has been fined $15,000 by the NBA after he was caught making an obscene gesture at Charlotte Hornets fans.

One Fingered Salute

The Miami Heat star was handed the swift punishment after his team's two point loss against the Hornets last night. The shooting guard obviously got a bit frustrated and decided to flip his middle finger at the opposing fans.

Maybe Wade was peeved at being snubbed as a starter in the NBA All-Star Game, with Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors edging him out.

The gesture reportedly occurred after the Heat missed three consecutive shots on the final possession of the third quarter. The sequence reportedly left Wade frustrated.

Wade scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists in the loss, which dropped Miami to 18-24 on the season.

Other Headlines:

Staying in the NBA, LaMarcus Aldridge will be out for two months. The Blazers star tore a ligament in his thumb against the Boston Celtics.

To the NHL now, where Filip Forsberg will replace the injured Evgeny Malkin in the All-Star game. Forsberg - who plays for the Nashville Predators - will be the only rookie selected to the game.

And finally to the NFL, where the Cleveland Browns will be in a quarterback battle yet again. The Browns have admitted they don't know who their starting QB will be this year, with Brian Hoyer, Johnny Manziel and Connor Shaw all on the roster.
