Richard Sherman hits out at New England Patriots and Roger Goodell

Football News

Richard Sherman is not a man to waste a press conference and that was the case today as he laid into Roger Goodell and Robert Kraft.

The Seattle Seahawks star was speaking today ahead of the Pro Bowl and had a lot to say about Deflategate.

Conflict of Interests

Sherman was asked about whether or he thought the Patriots would be punished for the incident, and he had strong words in response.

“Will they be punished? Probably not,” Sherman said. “Not as long as Roger Goodell and Robert Kraft are still taking pictures at their respective homes. I think it was just at Kraft’s house last week before the AFC Championship, you know. Talk about conflict of interest”

You can check out Sherman's answer here...

If only the National Football League wasn't so horribly based in a way that makes the Commissioner of the whole league basically a lackey for the people he is supposed to be governing.

The owners essentially pay Goodell his ludicrous salary and every decision he makes is with them in mind. So of course this is going to happen.

The Patriots will probably be found not guilty of all charges in deflategate thanks to a lack of evidence, or maybe a fine at the most equaling nothing more than chump change to Mr Kraft. But the team should be punished like Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints were. And Sherman is right, they almost certainly won't.
