Louis van Gaal may be currently stressing over how to get past Cambridge United in the fourth round FA Cup replay, but if he doesn’t focus on the transfer window he could lose out on his biggest target to none other than bitter rivals Manchester City. It’s claimed this morning that Manuel Pellegrini is set to offer forward Stevan Jovetic to Juventus in a bid to swing the tide in his favour with regards to the pursuit of Paul Pogba. Juve are known to be interested in the Montenegrin striker, and his inclusion in the deal could see the likes of United, Chelsea and Real Madrid beaten to Pogba’s signature. There’s no such bad news in United’s bid to sign Aymeric Laporte of Athletic Bilbao, as journalist Guillem Balague has spread the rumour that he wants a move to Old Trafford. Finally Robin van Persie has admitted that his future is uncertain. The Dutchman has 18 months left on his contract, but might not be offered a new deal.
