Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas limped off the pitch against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup and could now be a doubt to face Manchester City this weekend.
That's according to the Daily Mail, who report that Fabregas headed straight down the tunnel after exiting the match in the 50th minute for treatment with the Chelsea medical staff.
He now faces a real battle to be fit for the crunch Premier League match on Saturday afternoon, a game that could have big title implications for both Chelsea and City.
Fabregas seemed to pick up the injury in a collision with teammate John Terry shortly after the resumption of the second half.
He attempted to run it off but was forced to call it a day early and Jose Mourinho replaced him with Ramires. Chelsea went on to win the second-leg match 1-0 to go through to the final 2-1 on aggregate.
They will face the winner of the other semi-final between Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield Untied.
It was not the only problem for Mourinho on the night, as Filipe Luis was also forced off towards the end of the match, which went to extra time.
The Brazilian full-back was replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta and is also a doubt to face City at the weekend. The report does not elaborate on how serious either problem is, but with such a short turnaround before the next game, both players face a race against time to make the squad.
Chelsea can extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to eight points over their rivals with just 15 games remaining.
After defeat to Bradford City in the FA Cup at the weekend, it was important for Chelsea to get back to winning ways swiftly and victory tonight ensures they will be playing for silverware as early as March.
Branislav Ivanovic scored the only goal of the game against Liverpool with a header in extra time, after the two sides had played out an entertaining 0-0 draw through 90 minutes.
