Arsenal to hijack deal for Brazilian

Published 1 Comments

Arsenal are said to be ready to rival Manchester City for the signing of former Bayern Munich star Mario Mandzukic, who hasn’t settled well at Atletico Madrid since moving to Spain in the summer. According to reports the arrival of Fernando Torres at the Vicente Calderon has moved the Croatian striker down the pecking order, and both Arsenal and City are interested in him. Manuel Pellegrini has already signed Wilfried Bony for £28 million this month, meaning Arsene Wenger could be unopposed if he submits an offer to Diego Simeone. Meanwhile the Gunners have been given a last chance to hijack Roma’s bid for Brazilian Luiz Adriano, as the Italian giants remain locked in negotiations with Shakhtar Donetsk for his signature with no deal having been completed. Lastly Andre Schurrle’s proposed move to Borussia Dortmund could aid Arsenal, as it means Jurgen Klopp might be ready to relinquish the services of Marco Reus. We’re not holding our breath for that one, but you never know.
