On this week’s episode of NXT a ‘technical error’ aired on the screen during the entrance of Tyson Kidd who was taking on Adrian Neville in a quarter-final match in the tournament to determine the number one contender to the NXT Championship.

All of the audio, including the theme music for Tyson Kidd, as well as the commentary team, were cut off as the very short video package aired on screen.

For the NXT fans who watched the entertaining episode of NXT and paid close attention, they will have noticed who this teaser was hyping up. The NXT broadcast on the WWE Network was interrupted by what NXT is calling a ‘technical difficulty’ and they issued an apology on their official Twitter account for the technical error.

If you paid attention to it then you will know that the superstar NXT are bringing on to television once more is none other than Solomon Crowe and for you hard core independent wrestling fans, you’ll know him better as Sami Callihan.

Crowe was on NXT for a brief stint last year when he introduced a ‘hacking’ gimmick, this involved Crowe controlling all of the lights with his tablet and it allowed him to get an unfair advantage over his opponent. He first targeted the masked Kalisto before we got a more inside look at his sadistic, twisted character as he introduced the fans to an anonymous location he called “The Crowe’s Nest.”

Unfortunately for the Callihan and Crowe fans, the WWE didn’t really capitalise with his immense popularity and the hacker gimmick was eventually dropped and his time on NXT television was over.

Solomon Crowe’s loyal fan base has followed him right through his career from the independent circuit, where he has wrestled for the likes of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Ring of Honor and Combat Zone Wrestling, before finally signing with the WWE early last year.

Now it looks like his fans have finally got their wish, and they will soon get Solomon Crowe on TV. Last year a worldwide trend was set on Twitter with the hashtag ‘#WEWANTCROWE’ and that hashtag is still popular to this day.

This isn’t the only hint that Solomon Crowe is coming to NXT, in case you missed it at NXT Takeover: R Evolution, when Sami Zayn was celebrating his title win, Solomon Crowe was one of many superstars inside the ring applauding Zayn’s efforts.

He has also been included in the official NXT 2015 programme.

Crowe’s most loyal fans have only had one wish since he signed with the WWE and now with this teaser airing, that will only grow stronger.

During his independent days as Sami Callihan, Crowe enjoyed great success alongside a certain popular superstar on the main roster today who is just as crazy as Crowe.

Jon Moxley – who we now know as Dean Ambrose – was the tag team partner of Solomon Crowe as they went by the name Switchblade Conspiracy and neither was shy to bleed, and a potential reunion for the two on the main roster would be something the fans would definitely be excited for, whether they’re a team or even rivals. The WWE could potentially use their history to their advantage, much like they have been doing for the recent Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn feud.

The teaser has come at a very interesting time, with NXT Takeover only two weeks or so away, a lot of matches are still to be announced, we already have the Fatal 4 Way match between Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley for the NXT Women's Championship.

Sami Zayn will defend his NXT Championship against Kevin Owens whilst the final of the NXT Championship number one contender tournament will also take place.

There's a chance Solomon Crowe could debut at that event, and cost one particular superstar the match, who that is remains to be seen.
