Chelsea ace Thibaut Courtois gets trolled during Twitter Q&A

Why did they even bother? Why does anyone even bother with anything anymore? Because inevitably it will lead to a story with a headline that starts with: "Trolls ruin..."

Those folk who lurk in the dark corners of Twitter, gobbling down fish heads and gnawing on the guttering have been at it again, this time squelching from the woodwork to try and be funny in response to a question and answer session with Thibaut Courtois.

#AskCourtois was the top trending topic on Twitter this afternoon as genuine fans asked the real big questions, like this:

Sadly, Twitter isn't the firework, puppies and candy factory it promises to be, and fans of other clubs disengaged their noggins and went about their business. Take that Thibaut Courtois, right in your little face! Yeah, so what you probably don't care and they are all filtered out by Chelsea's media team so you're blissfully unaware! We're sticking it to the man! Etc.

To be fair this one is actually quite funny:

But the rest aren't. At all. OK, maybe this one is pretty good as well.

Courtois will have to tear his attention away from answering gems like this for the weekend as Chelsea take on Manchester City in a winner-takes-all showdown for the Premier League title. Except, Chelsea probably don't need to win it because they're five points clear at the top.

To be fair, Manchester City probably don't need to win either. They overturned a bigger gap to beat Manchester United to the title back in 2013. So, in conclusion, Chelsea will take on Manchester City in a game of football this weekend.
