Kevin de Bruyne set to reject United switch

Former Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is set to reject a shock return to the Premier League in the form of Manchester United today, as he isn’t keen on a move at this time. The Belgium international struggled at Stamford Bridge and was deemed surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho before being offloaded to the Bundesliga. However he’s excelled at Wolfsburg, and with the club in negotiations to pay big to get Andre Schurrle, they could be tempted to cash in on him. Yet despite rumours United will pay £30 million for him, he has no intentions of taking them up on the offer. Elsewhere it looks like Louis van Gaal will be waving goodbye to more than one Old Trafford face before tonight’s deadline, with right-back Marnick Vermijl expected to sign for Sheffield Wednesday and longtime outcast Anderson in Brazil having a medical ahead of a move to Internacional.
