Bubba Ray Dudley has today revealed that he would like to turn his incredibly well received Royal Rumble turn into a long stay with the WWE.
Bubba Ray was a tag team force with his brother DeVon Dudley back in the late 90's early 2000's in the WWE's hey day but had spent the last decade or so with rivals TNA after being released by Vince McMahon.
But the big man made his return in Philadelphia - the birthplace of ECW which the WWE was trying to pay homage to - and he made quite the impact when he came out and received a tonne of crowd support.
The big questions remains however is has Dudley done enough to convince McMahon and the other WWE bosses that he deserves to make a real return. Speaking in an interview with Busted Open on SiriusXM 92, Dudley said how much he wanted to make a real future with the WWE.
"It's really up to the WWE Universe. I think that fans have more of a voice now then they have ever had in pro wrestling and I think that's good because it forces pro wrestling to stay on their toes. You know; wrestlers, creative people, everybody," Dudley said.
"So my answer is if the WWE Universe wants to see me or me and my brother, Devon, they need to be as vocal as possible. And you know, let them know. Whether that be on social media or with signs (at live events). And if management wants us back, then we'll make that decision."
Speaking of Brother Devon, his lack of presence at the Rumble has still yet to be explained. Surely we would rather have seen the Dudley Boyz in all their glory rather than four seconds of Titus O'Neil or R-Truth doing the Dudley Death Drop.
But still, it seems like the Dudleyz are still interested in making a return to the WWE which would be incredible to see. The tag team division has definitely improved in recent years but having the Dudley Boyz in there would only strengthen it further.
