The Cavs make it 12 straight and we see two blow-out victories

The Cleveland Cavaliers have extended their incredible winning streak to 12 as their resurgence continued tonight.

The Cavaliers overcame the LA Clippers tonight 105-94 and it all came down to two of Cleveland's star men to get them through.

After an incredibly high scoring first two quarters for Cleveland where they finished the first half on 65 points, they would then continue their form in the third before a very low scoring fourth quarter.

With just 11 points in the fourth quarter, the Cavaliers allowed the Clippers a life line but had fortunately already established a lead and it was enough to get the win.

LeBron James and Kevin Love were the key men for the Cavaliers as they came away with 47 points between them.


LeBron with 23 and Love scoring 24, the two did everything they could to guide Cleveland to victory.

The turbulent times the Cavaliers endured during LeBron's injury seem to be well behind them as are now on a 12 game winning streak.

Up next for the Cavaliers is a trip to the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night whilst the Clippers face a very tough trip to the Toronto Raptors and desperately need a win to snap their two game losing streak.

Underdogs win in the Southeast

The big South-east division clash between saw the second place Washington Wizards travel to the third place Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets got the 94-87 win as the team in the #7 seed position in the East got a big win over the #4 seed.

Gerald Henderson was the key man in this game as he came away with 27 points, four rebounds and one assist.

The Hornets are now on a three game winning streak and face a trip to the struggling Philadelphia 76ers in their next game.

Meanwhile the losing streak continues for the Wizards who now fall to five straight ahead of their clash with the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night.

Portland win the Western showdown

Two teams from the west went head to head as the Portland Trail Blazers earned a big 108-87 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Nicolas Batum was the top scorer in the game with 20 as he was crucial to taking the Blazers to their second straight win ahead of a trip to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Suns however who hold the #8 seed in the West are now on a three game losing streak and welcome the Utah Jazz to the desert in their next game.

Dallas run riot

The Dallas Mavericks got a huge win tonight as they beat the Sacramento Kings 101-78 to make it four wins in their last five.

The Mavericks now face a three game home run against the Blazers, Clippers and Utah Jazz to come.

The Kings however remain on just one win in their last five and are still quite far away from the play-off spots in the West.
