Louis van Gaal to drop midfield duo

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal was left less than impressed by the performances of Angel Di Maria and Adnan Januzaj during this weekend’s 1-1 draw with West Ham, and could drop them in favour of more powerful players. That’s according to reports which use the Dutchman’s quotes from after the game yesterday, when he claimed that the creative players in his attacking line up had to start influencing matches or risk losing their places. Marouane Fellaini’s introduction to the fray, and a change to a more direct approach, led to United getting the goal that earned them a point against West Ham. In other news David De Gea IS negotiating with the club over a new deal, as his agent Jorge Mendes has confirmed. And lastly the Red Devils are ready to drop interest in Kevin Strootman and Arturo Vidal in order to firm up their pursuit of Radja Nainggolan.
