WWE: Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville get huge reaction from live crowd

Football News

Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn haven't even appeared on a televised WWE program yet, but the young superstars seem to already be connecting with fans.

The up and comers are still fighting it out in WWE's developmental territory NXT - which is overseen by Triple H - where they are two of the biggest stars, and for good reason. Zayn is one of the most likeable wrestlers in the business, while Neville's high flying antics capture audience imaginations like no other.

So when they appeared in a house show event as a tag team, they blew the roof off, going from unknowns to getting one of the biggest cheers of the night.

Zayn and Neville went up against The Ascension in Saturday's WWE live event in Salt Lake City, Utah, and one fan described the action in a post on WrestlingInc.

"Sami Zayn garnered a larger reaction than I expected from this crowd. Not many seemed to be as familiar with Neville, he received a mild reaction on entrance," the fan in attendance, whose name is given as Ferret Rellim, started.

Huge Fan Support

A decent start already for the two entertaining wrestlers, who are surely set for excellent futures in wrestling. But then it got even better.

"This match was held together by the action Zayn and Neville produced. Delivering their unique and action packed flurries to get the crowd excited."

And despite being unknown by the crowd at the start, Neville's insane ability saw him get over with the fans in just minutes, proving that you don't need to be the prototypical Vince McMahon wrestler to get on top in the WWE.

"Once the crowd saw what Neville had to offer they quickly got behind him. Zayn had the most crowd support here and found himself getting a few "ole" chants. Neville closed it out with the Red Arrow and the pin for the team. By the end, fans were fully behind Neville."

Future of the WWE?

Zayn and Neville really do have a chance to prove that they can be the next big things in the WWE, but they first have to escape whatever terrible plans that Vince McMahon has for them.

According to reports from various outlets, Vince has lined Neville up to a gimmick similar to the very old television character 'Mighty Mouse'. Yes that's true, meanwhile Kalisto - another NXT star - could be set to debut as a gay hairdresser.

Crowd Connection

But, there is hope for these two. If they are getting these kinds of reactions when they are relative nobodies, then the future bodes well.

You just have to look at Daniel Bryan, who has risen to the status of a main eventer and one of the biggest stars in the WWE just because of how much the fans love him. Getting that connection is huge in wrestling today and Zayn and Neville definitely have a big chance with their energetic style in the ring and general likeable characters.

WWE fans what do you think? Will Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville be big stars in the WWE or is anybody else set for the top instead? Tell us what you think in the comments below....
