We all know the NBA hosts the best basketball players in the world, but what about the young stars who are set to dominate the future of the league? 

This weekend, the All-Star festivities head to New York for a spectacle which will be enjoyed by millions worldwide. 

Friday night hosts the Rising Stars game, Saturday boasts the Slam Dunk, three-point contest and much more, with the main event All-Star game coming on the Sunday night. 

Friday showcase offers glimpse into the future

With the All-Star game the focal point for fans, we take a look at youngsters taking part in the Rising Stars Challenge and who they compare to from the All-Star game.

By no means are we saying the youngsters are as good as the league's best players but a focus on similar traits will show who they best resemble.

High scoring = highlight reel moments

The Rising Stars game gives younger players in the league a chance to show off their potential to a worldwide audience and have fun whilst doing it.

Expect low-key defending throughout the weekend, leading to some incredible highlight-reel dunks and remarkable plays from the best players on the planet.
