Wojciech Szczesny to win back starting role

Published Add your comment

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny could win back his place in Arsene Wenger’s first-team, having impressed the Frenchman during training, according to reports. In the last few games last summer’s signing David Ospina has been handed the No.1 jersey, with Szczesny having looked inconsistent in the early stages of the season. However Wenger is believed to be happy with the Pole’s conduct since being dropped, and sees it as worthy of another chance in the starting XI. Arsenal’s next game is against Championship leaders Middlesbrough in the FA Cup. For that match it’s understood Jack Wilshere could make a long-awaited return from injury. He’s back in full training now, meaning that the cup fixture is a realistic target.
