Romelu Lukaku won't make Chelsea return

Chelsea have no interest in making a move to take Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian was sold to Everton at the start of the season in a £28 million deal, but it appears as though he is already seeking an exit. The Toffees has struggled for form this term and are down in 12th place in the Premier League table, while Lukaku has managed just 10 goals in 36 games in all competitions.

Having left Chelsea under a cloud it appeared as though the 21-year-old is hankering for a move away from Goodison Park, with Stamford Bridge touted as a potential destination.

"It was brilliant to play at Chelsea and I had a good reception,” Lukaku told The Sun. “They know I’m a good player but that I want to develop so I can eventually get back to playing for a club like Chelsea.

“I don’t have a secret ambition to rejoin — there are other clubs in the world. I just want to grow as a player and eventually arrive at a top club again.”

However it looks as though Lukaku's hopes have been dashed already with the Daily Mail reporting that Chelsea aren't interested in a deal. Instead the paper say that the former Anderlecht forward has emerged as a target for both West Ham and Tottenham ahead of the summer window.

If the Hammers do manage to pull of a deal it could have a knock-on effect for Chelsea, who would then target a move for Enner Valencia, who has impressed at Upton Park this term.
