The final RAW before the Fastlane Pay-Per-View was certainly one to remember as we got our first look at Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan going one on one.

It was a night for returns as two legends were in the building and a tag team we haven't seen for a long time make a comeback.

Amongst all the returns and the mid games, Paige gave us a scene unlike any other as she became the victim of yet another prank by the Bella Twins.

RAW opened however with John Cena coming to the ring and discussing his upcoming match with Rusev.

When the super athlete came out to the stage, the two traded insults until Cena ran up the ramp to go after the Bulgarian Brute.

Cena would then precede to do something no-one else has had the ability to do and that was leave Rusev out cold on the stage.

Roman Reigns vs Kane

Ahead of their big encounter at Fastlane both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan were in action against the bigger members of the Authority.

Roman Reigns took on Kane with Daniel Bryan on commentary as he would then start the mind games between the two.

Bryan would get the WWE Universe chanting Yes several times throughout the match and cause the distraction to Reigns.

Eventually, Reigns would spear Kane outside of the ring and climb back inside to get the count out victory in front of his Fastlane opponent.

Daniel Bryan vs Big Show

The main event took place with Daniel Bryan and Big Show going one-on-one with Roman Reigns this time at ringside.

Just like in the earlier match, Reigns would do anything he could to cause the distraction, from signing autographs, to taking selfies with fans to throwing t-shirts out to the crowd.

Eventually Reigns and Bryan would get into an altercation and with Big Show looking to capitalise, he would end up spearing Reigns.

As the match wore on, Bryan would be perched on the top rope but Reigns would cause the disqualification as he would attack Big Show as an act of revenge.

This would prompt the two to battle all over the arena until eventually they were separated by officials.

The Nature Boy returns

It had been rumoured for days that Ric Flair would be at the show and he made his presence known by confronting an old friend.

Triple H was in the ring discussing his upcoming confrontation with Sting when the infamous 'WOOOO' was heard.

The two would exchange pleasantries before Flair would issue a warning for Triple H not to take Sting lightly.

Eventually it would get heated and Triple H would eventually shove his once mentor and promise that he will get the best of Sting on Sunday.

Brotherly problems

The second legendary return tonight saw the American Dream Dusty Rhodes come in to try and solve the issues between his sons Gold and Stardust.

He gave them a prep talk before their match with the New Day but when they were once again unsuccessful, Stardust would try to help his brother back to his feet.

When he finally got him back up, Stardust would attack him from behind and hit the Cross-Rhodes.

Backstage Stardust would be confronted by his father and he would tell him that Cody Rhodes, like his father is dead.

The most unorthodox contract signing ever

Contract signings very rarely go down well in the WWE and when Dean Ambrose presented a contract that he promised Bad News Barrett would sign that would lock them into a match for the Intercontinental Championship at Fastlane, everyone's interest was peaked.

Ambrose would come out to take on Luke Harper and after a back and fourth match he would eventually win.

Later we would see BNB talking to the Miz who made him the deal that if BNB took out Damien Mizdow in a match, he would keep an eye out for Ambrose.

BNB would win the match after the Miz interrupted several times with trivial issues that allowed Barrett to get the win.

Ambrose would then attack Barrett after the match and after the Miz had left and tie him to the ring post, put a pen in his hand and move the contract so that the Intercontinental Champion would sign it.

Paige gets pranked again

Byron Saxton was backstage outside the women's locker room hoping to get a word with Paige but instead saw the Bella twins running out with Paige's ring attire.

Paige would then come out in just a towel looking for her attire, she would eventually run into the Rosebuds and steal one of their outfits.

She would then come out for her match with Summer Rae wearing an outfit that just didn't quite go with her gothic appearance.

After initially finding it funny, Summer Rae would come to regret laughing at her as she was made to tap out by the PTO as Paige remained strong ahead of Fastlane.

Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins would come out to claim that he deserves to be higher than he currently is and profess to be better than Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback.

Ziggler would come to the ring and challenge Rollins to a match and as the two got into it, J&J Security would get involved as usual.

The referee would eventually send them to the back and Ziggler and Rollins would then give the WWE Universe a great match.

J&J would get involved again however as Ziggler was about to win and draw Rowan and Ryback to his defense.

A match would then be made for Smackdown in which Ziggler will take on Rollins with J&J banned from ringside.

Players come back to Prime Time

Darren Young made his long awaited return from injury by teaming with an unknown superstar to take on the Ascension.

Konnor and Viktor would attack them before the match could start however and Titus O'Neill would come down to save his former tag team partner and the Prime Time Players theme would play after they fought off the Ascension.

Jimmy Uso and Naomi vs Tyson Kidd and Natalya

In the first ever husband and wife vs husband and wife match, Jimmy Uso and Naomi would come out victorious.

Tyson Kidd was very reluctant to get into the match but Naomi and Natalya would impress most when they were in the ring.
