Football News

European giants PSG and Chelsea meet again in the Champions League tonight for the second year running, and if this year's clash is anywhere near as exciting as the last then we're in for another treat.

On FIFA 15 the pair match up extremely well too, so today we're going to find out who comes out on top in the football simulation by exploring some of the key player battles between the two teams.

Good comparison

The FIFA series has always been a good platform for comparing football teams in the real world, and recently EA Sports have put this to better use through the introduction of the Match Day feature, which tracks player form and stats throughout the season.

Alongside this, the developers shortlist players based on real life performance with the Team of the Week, and of course the annual Team of the Year squads in Ultimate Team.

As far as PSG and Chelsea go, they're both rated the highest in their respective leagues and feature a number of players who have appeared in those coveted Ultimate Team squads.

This year Chelsea have earned six In-Form cards, compared to PSG's five, with Diego Costa alone appearing in the Team of the Week three times!

Although where Chelsea can't compete is in the TOTY squad, with PSG representing both centre-backs spots with Thiago Silva and former Blues star David Luiz being chosen.

Tough battles

It's clear that both teams compete closely in all fields, so in order to decide who'll come out on top let's look at some of those key player battles in more detail.
