Marouane Fellaini loving new forward role

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has insisted that he likes playing as a forward, having been deployed in the position at various points this season by Louis van Gaal. The Belgian’s height and stature has been utilised to good effect when United have needed to play a long-ball game to get goals, and though it’s not his natural role Fellaini is more than happy to occupy it. The 27-year-old said he liked having the chance to find the back of the net. From one effective frontman to another experiencing slightly less fortune, Radamel Falcao isn’t happy at Old Trafford, according to former United man Paul McGrath. The Colombia international was subbed last night during the FA Cup tie against Preston after failing to impress in the first hour, and McGrath believes he’s out of sorts.
