Arsenal hero Martin Keown has questioned whether Colombian striker Radamel Falcao will ever play for Manchester United.
As reported by the BBC, Keown, who was co-commentating on the Red Devils' FA Cup clash with League One outfit Preston North End, insisted that the forward offered nothing throughout the match.
Troubles in Manchester
Falcao, who completed a season-long loan deal to United from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco this past summer, has endured a tricky time at Old Trafford having only found the net on four occasions for the club this term.
And, last night, with United 1-0 down at Deepdale, Red Devils chief Louis van Gaal opted to bring the forward off, and now Keown has questioned whether the striker will play for the club again.
Keown said: "Another night of nothing from Falcao.
"You wonder if you will see him again in a Manchester United shirt. I don't think he has offered much at all."
Surely we will see him in the red shirt again before the end of the season, but his long term future at the club appears to be in serious doubt.
It would no doubt come as a surprise, however, if Falcao kept his place in the side for the club's Premier League fixture with Swansea City this weekend.
With Dutchman Robin van Persie set to return and youngster James Wilson also in contention for a place in the starting XI, the Colombian ace may well have to settle for a place on the bench.
Captain Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, will also be hoping for a role in attack after playing up top - and scoring - at Deepdale last night. Falcao, then, will be very lucky to feature this weekend.
Now or never
Currently on a reported £265,000-a-week wages at Manchester United, Falcao certainly needs to prove his credentials sooner rather than later.
There's no doubt about it, time is running out for Falcao at the Theatre of Dreams, but he will still be desperate to prove himself over the coming weeks and months.
It certainly won't be easy for the Colombian ace, but he will no doubt still maintain hope of succeeding in England's elite division. Time, though, is running out.
