Chelsea have made Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba their summer transfer priority, according to Goal.com.
The report has suggested that the Stamford Bridge outfit, along with rivals Manchester City, are currently leading the race to bring the Frenchman back to England.
In fact, the same report has revealed that his former club Manchester United are interested in his signature, but it appears that Louis van Gall may well have to battle the duo of Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini for the midfielder.
There's no doubt about it, Pogba, who has been rated at £44 million, is recognised as one of the leading young talents in world football, so would no doubt prove quite the coup for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
With Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas already plying their trade in the middle of the park at the Bridge, the Blues would possess quite the midfield if Pogba joined them later this year.
Terry wants new deal
Chelsea captain John Terry, meanwhile, has insisted that he wants to stay at the club beyond the end of the season.
As reported by the Mirror, the Blues skipper has insisted that he wants to play as much as possible as he enters the final stages of his career.
After Chelsea's Champions League clash with PSG, Terry told reporters: “Last year I was a bit nervous and knocking on the door myself. But I know their position and they know mine. I want to stay. Hopefully, my displays are showing that and they want to keep me.
“I don’t want to rest. I’m coming to the end of my career, so it’s important I stay fit and play as much as I can.
Richards admits previous Chelsea interest
Manchester City flop Micah Richards has told the Telegraph that Chelsea were previously interested in his signature.
Richards, who is currently plying his trade on loan at Italian outfit Fiorentina has also revealed that Manchester United wanted him, but the time wasn't right to leave the Citizens.
The defender told reporters: "I had a chance to go to Chelsea five years ago, and Manchester United. But I didn’t feel it was right. I always enjoyed City."
