John Terry to renew Chelsea contract

Chelsea officials are confident that club captain John Terry will sign a new deal to stay on at Stamford Bridge, with reports yesterday having claimed he’ll have to wait until the summer to put pen to paper. The ex-England captain’s future has been the subject of much speculation given his advancing years, and the recent departures of Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard have done little to stop the gossip. However it now looks as though he’ll remain on the books for at least another season. Another man who could be on the verge of agreeing a new deal is none other than Jose Mourinho, with the Blues keen to tie him down to a four-year contract.
