Football News

The Memphis Grizzlies kept up their impressive season tonight after earning an impressive win against the LA Clippers tonight.

The Grizzlies emerged as 90-87 winners in a big clash of two of the Western Conference's seeded teams.

Memphis had won three of their previous four heading into the game in LA whilst the Clippers were on a four game winning streak.

Chris Paul was the top performer on the night as the Clippers star came away with 30 points, four rebounds and 10 assists.

Paul's incredible performance wasn't enough though as the rest of his team-mates failed to even get close to his impressive totals.

Mike Conley was the Grizzlies top scorer tonight with 18 whilst four other Memphis players scored over 10 points.

The Grizzlies are currently in the second seeded position in the Western conference and aren't too far away from the Golden State Warriors in first.

Up next for Memphis is a trip to the Sacramento Kings before the return match against the Clippers in Tennessee.

The Clippers however visit the Houston Rockets as they start a four game road trip and will continue to try and climb higher than their current sixth seed position.

A shocker in New Orleans?

The New Orleans Pelicans pulled off an unlikely 100-97 victory tonight against the second seed in the East, the Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors are much higher than the Pelicans who are currently unseeded in the West and had lost four of their last five going into this one.

Kyle Lowry did well for the Raptors scoring 22 points but his team ultimately fell to the Luke Babbit led Pelicans.

The Brooklyn Blowout

The Brooklyn Nets got a very dominant win tonight over the Denver Nuggets, emerging as 110-82 winners.

The 28 point victory was thanks largely to Brook Lopez and the further six Nets players who scored over 10 points each.

The Nuggets only bright spark was Danilo Galinari who was the top scorer in the game with 22 points.
