Football News

Charlton have often had a stressful campaign this season, and their home tie against Huddersfield this Saturday is a must win for Bob Peeters' men. Belgium striker Igor Vetokele, a summer signing from FC Copenhagen, has 11 goals for The Addicks.

Charlton will have a lot on their hands to cope with Huddersfield striker Nahki Wells. Although the Bermudian forward has two less goals that Vetokele this campaign, the Striker will be sure to get back on track in the Championship.

Huge 3 points

Neither side will want to lose this game, with just three point separating the two sides. I'm expecting a tight game, with both sides starting the game reluctant to through too many people forward.

For Charlton, I would love to see Jordan Cousins start for Charlton. He's an exciting young midfielder that could help Charlton keep more position with the one less body in the middle. My Charlton starting XI would be: Henderson, Solly, Ben Haim, Roger, Fox, Gudmundsson, Cousins, Buyens, Harriot, Vetokele, Watt.

I think Huddersfield need to attack from the start. They're going to come up against a resilient Charlton side that will want to put on a strong performance for their home fans. For Huddersfield, my XI would be: Smithies, Smith, Hudson, Wallace, Robinson, Hogg, Edgar, Butterfied,Wells, Miller, Bunn.

It will be a fascinating game for the football league and I'm expecting a lively crowd at the Valley, which ever side can get the early momentum I think will get the points.

My prediction: Charlton 3 - 2 Huddersfield
