Chelsea are set to welcome back Marco van Ginkel to Stamford Bridge, with AC Milan having opted against signing him on a permanent basis. According to reports in Italy Milan have pulled out of activating the clause in their loan deal for Van Ginkel that would have seen him move to the San Siro in the summer. The 22-year-old has struggled to get game-time with the Blues, and his development has stalled as a result. It now remains to be seen whether or not he’ll find any solace upon his return to Jose Mourinho’s fold. Meanwhile Chelsea are to delay their choice of who will start in goal for the Capital One Cup final until the day of the event. Both Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech are fighting for the spot, with the former the registered No.1 this season in Mourinho’s eyes but his rival the far more experienced of the two. At the moment it’s anyone’s guess, but the decision is sure to divide opinion.
