Cristiano Ronaldo and The Rock battle it out for Irina Shayk at WrestleMania

The alleged love triangle between The Rock, Cristiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk that has been a topic of gossip lately for the tabloid press has taken another turn. Kind of.

Even though there is nothing to suggest that The Rock has any part to play in a love triangle, that hasn’t stopped a group of YouTube gamers from creating a WWE video game simulation which sees The Rock and Ronaldo battle it out for the model.

The Rock and the Russian model starred together in last year's Hollywood-hit Hercules and appeared to strike up a friendship. A lot was made of their relationship in the wake of the model’s split from Real Madrid act Ronaldo last month.

The Rock vs Ronaldo

After a romance that lasted five years, tabloids suggested that the WWE star had swooped in and stolen Shayk from Ronaldo.

The former WWE champion has appeared in a number of pictures with Shayk - that fuelled the rumours but they were all taken when the pair were promoting their movie.

However, even though The Rock appeared at the Oscars with his actual girlfriend, it didn’t stop the hilarious simulation appearing online.

The video sees Ronaldo and The Rock battle it out at WrestleMania with Shayk standing ringside. After a series of hard-hitting wrestling moves accompanied by some hilarious Spanish commentary, it finishes the way you would expect it too.

The WWE star-turned box office hit beats the Ballon D’or winner, delivering another blow to Ronaldo’s love life. Maybe now that can be the end of the rumours and Ronaldo can move on and concentrate on scoring goals. Probably not though.
