Arsenal fans may have been expecting an imminent return to the first-team fold from Jack Wilshere, but they’ll have to wait just a little longer, with Arsene Wenger having confirmed that he’s undergone minor surgery on his ankle. According to reports the England international has a niggling pain that has been treated by an operation, though it does mean he’ll be out of action for longer than was expected. Wilshere sat out of the Champions League clash against AS Monaco after complaining of irritation, and he’s since had two studs taken off the screws in his ankle. Elsewhere Thierry Henry has revealed it is his ‘dream’ to one day manage Arsenal. The Gunners legend has confirmed his intentions to move into professional coaching, and his ambitions could well be to replace Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman steps down.
