WWE: Potential post-WrestleMania XXXI feuds for Roman Reigns

WrestleMania XXXI is a little over a month away and we will see Brock Lesnar defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event against Roman Reigns.

After winning the Royal Rumble, Reigns was forced to compete against Daniel Bryan at Fastlane with the winner advancing to the WrestleMania main event and Reigns walked out the victor to prove he was a worthy winner.

For the best part of a year it has been clear that Roman Reigns was going to win the Royal Rumble and then go on to dethrone Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania to become the new champion, and that still looks to be the case with Brock’s future up in the air.

If that does happen whether the fans like it or not, Roman Reigns will be our new WWE World Heavyweight Champion and there will be plenty of superstars gunning for him and the championship, here’s who I think the WWE will turn to work with Reigns.

It’s not clear whether Lesnar will re-sign with the WWE or not, if he doesn’t then he is obviously not an option, but if the WWE do tie him down to a new deal then perhaps Lesnar could invoke his rematch clause at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

He could have limited dates once again as a part-time superstar but it could be wise to put on a brutal showing at Extreme Rules to show that Reigns is a worthy champion with potentially two big victories over Lesnar.

There’s clearly some unfinished business between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan and even though he isn’t in the title picture for now, Bryan will definitely be back and the two have shown they can work well inside the ring.

The fans will be torn between the two especially with the post-WrestleMania crowd always being hot so it would be a great way to ignite their feud once more to keep Reigns as a solid champion.

Out of the three members of The Shield arguably the most entertaining is the only one left out of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture and the fans have never really seen Ambrose and Reigns go at it even though the two left The Shield on good terms.

Ambrose isn’t a traditional face nor a heel so it would be a great test for the two in the deep end with the championship involved and the fans struggling to pick sides. The build-up could be entertaining and with the chemistry between the two, the matches should also be great and it would be a real statement of intent from the WWE in having two of their top two future stars carry the burden of headlining multiple events for the title.

A John Cena and Roman Reigns feud is always going to be on the card but the WWE may wait a while for the two to collide. With Reigns being built up as the future face of the company, this match could fall in the bracket of Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock and The Rock vs. John Cena, the passing of the torch.

Love him or hate him, the man gets a reaction every single week and even though fans believe he doesn’t put a lot of up and coming stars over, with Reigns holding the title he might even defeat Cena to add another huge victory to his resume whilst Cena will also do his job of trying to get Reigns over with the crowd.

This is probably the most likely feud the WWE will run with especially with Rollins still holding the Money in the Bank briefcase. It’s unclear as to when the WWE will give Rollins the heads up to cash in the contract with WrestleMania being a popular event which could steal Reigns’ time in the limelight.

Rollins might even successfully cash in the following night and it’s not as if Reigns will then sit back, he will obviously look to recapture the championship which could make for a fun feud between the former Tag Team Champions.

The WWE might look to Sheamus if he returns as a heel and throw him in the main event spotlight once more. He is a safe worker and good on the microphone; face or heel. He is one of the few superstars who could make Reigns look better than he is inside of the ring and we know Triple H does like Sheamus as well as Roman Reigns so we can probably expect the two to meet inside of the ring at some point with the title on the line.

Even though the star names are there for Roman Reigns, the likelihood is that the WWE will not make it easier for themselves and Roman Reigns with poor scripts and bad booking, with The Big Show and Kane possible contenders.
