Jordon Ibe injury a blow to Liverpool

Liverpool could be without teenage starlet, Jordan Ibe for around four weeks after a knee ligament injury.

The young winger has made a huge impact for Brendan Rodger's side since returning from a loan spell at Derby side.

His time on the sideline could include games against Burnley, Swansea City, Manchester United and Liverpool’s FA Cup quarter-final with Blackburn Rovers.

Ibe had made 24 appearances for Derby in the first half of the season, scoring seven goals, but was recalled to Merseyside on January 15th.

In his first game back for the Reds, Ibe was named man of the match in a 0-0 draw with rivals Everton; before playing a vital role in the 3-2 win against Tottenham next time out.

Liverpool did manage to see off Manchester City without their 19-year old winger, and so there’s no need for alarm bells yet but he is sure to be missed.

But it is certainly a shame that his progress has been halted, albeit momentarily, just as he was really beginning to establish himself in the Liverpool team during their recent revival.

Will Liverpool miss Ibe through March? Have your say below!
