LeSean McCoy reportedly unhappy with Buffalo Bills trade

Football News

The news of LeSean McCoy being traded to the Buffalo Bills completely rocked the sporting world last night.

The running back and other related factors were trending on Twitter all night long, and even into today, as NFL fans around the world reacted to the unbelievable trade that will see the Eagles allow the star back to join Rex Ryan's Bills with the Philadelphia Eagles getting linebacker Kiko Alonso in return.

But we didn't know McCoy's thoughts on being shipped off to Buffalo, well until now. And it does not make for pretty reading.

Shady Unhappy

According to a report from Josina Anderson of ESPN, McCoy, according to an unnamed source close to him, is extremely unhappy with being booted out of Philadelphia.

"He’s a Pennsylvania kid. He’s never played football outside of Pennsylvania—high school, college, pro. So of course he's not happy. Sounds like it’s pretty final to me unless LeSean is refusing to go to Buffalo."

Frustrated with Trade

The source then went on to reveal how McCoy was feeling after he heard of the trade, saying that the running back was 'frustrated' with what Chip Kelly has decided to do.

Honestly, he's frustrated...It's alright. It's the league. I told him that. I guess he just never experienced that, but he was like 'why me.'"

It was then revealed that McCoy and his team had absolutely no idea that the trade was even coming. According to the source, McCoy knew that he would probably have had to restructure his contract in the off-season to limit his cap hit and take more of a signing bonus, but never foresaw himself being traded.

Potential Veto?

It will be interesting to see if McCoy tries to block the trade or make it difficult for the Bills to complete it in any way. If he truly is unhappy with the move then surely McCoy could just make it known to Rex Ryan that he has absolutely no desire to play in Buffalo, forcing the Bills to scrap the deal, which cannot be completed until next week.

The source said he thinks McCoy is "not going to make it easy, that's for sure."

If that does happen then it all comes down to whether or not Ryan can convince McCoy to give it a go in Buffalo, and Rex will certainly give it his best. It will be interesting to see what happens in all go this.

So NFL fans, what do you think? Will LeSean McCoy play for the Buffalo Bills or will he refuse to play? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below...
