The MLS returns

We start off in the NBA, where the Portland Trail Blazers have lost a key man right before the play-offs. Wes Matthews suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in the Blazers win against the Mavs last night. Matthews will miss the rest of the season. Over to the NFL now, where Maurice Jones-Drew has decided to retire. The former Jags and Raiders running back made the announcement last night, saying all good things must come to an end. Jones-Drew was a 3 time Pro Bowler. Over to the MLS now, where the 2015 campaign gets underway tonight. The reigning champions LA Galaxy take on the Chicago Fire at StubHub Center, kicking off what is bound to be the best season in the league's 20-year history. And finally to baseball, where Hunter Pence is likely to miss the opening month of the MLB season. The San Francisco Giants star suffered a fracture in his forearm.
