Randy Orton finally takes his revenge on Seth Rollins

Football News

With just three weeks until WrestleMania XXXI, the event began to take shape on RAW tonight with two matches officially announced.

Two WrestleMania matches were announced and revenge was certainly on the mind of the WWE roster tonight.

Randy Orton and John Cena were the men on the hunt for revenge and both seemed to to find what they wanted.

In what could only be described as a terrible night for the Authority, their newest poster boy had perhaps his worst night since dismantling the Shield last year.

Over the course of the night, every member of the Authority would find a way to have themselves removed from the building, and it came back to haunt them.

Big Show, Kane, Seth Rollins and J&J Security began the show in the ring and they had some apologetic words for Randy Orton who had a strange response.

Orton passed it off as a joke and as he and Rollins teamed up for the main event against Roman Reigns in a 2-on-1 handicap match, they would set the WWE Universe alight.

Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins and Randy Orton

The match began with Orton and Rollins discussing who should begin against the power house with Rollins convincing Orton to step out.

Triple H never appeared on RAW but he can't have been happy when he saw what happened in the match, and what happened next is surely set to be the start of WrestleMania build up.

Kane and Big Show vs Ryback and Erick Rowan

With both Seth Rollins and Randy Orton in the main event, you may be wondering where Big Show and Kane were?

They have been at ringside for everyone of Rollins' matches for the last few months but were missing tonight due to some comical circumstances.

The two took on Ryback and Erick Rowan in a tag team match which would tempers flare.

This match would be largely be dominated by the Authority members but would have an interesting finish.

The urn is opened

Bray Wyatt's mission to seek out the Undertaker took a drastic step tonight as he opened the deadman's legendary urn in the middle of the ring.

He tried to draw out the phenom and appeared to get exactly what he was after.

The Beast arrives

We haven't seen Brock Lesnar since he defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena and Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble.

Paul Heyman was with his client and he had some very honest lines to say about the future of the Beast incarnate in the WWE.

Another WrestleMania match confirmed

As we saw Rusev coming out for his match with Axelmania, he was confronted by John Cena who had some choice words for the Bulgarian Brute.

Cena made the promise that if Rusev said a single word about the USA he would show him what fight they had left in him.

Rusev quite typically destroyed Axel in no time at all and had to grab a microphone himself as Lana didn't seem to want to take the risk.

After spouting off some anti- American sentiment, Cena came out to take his chance.

Sting speaks

We have seen the Vigilante Sting several times in WWE now but not once have we heard him speak to the WWE Universe.

Tonight a video where he explained why he has targeted Triple H aired but Twitter exploded due to the fact that it didn't sound quite like Sting in the video.

The belt continues to pass

The situation surrounding the Intercontinental Championship continued tonight with possession of the title belt switching between holders once again.

It began with a match between Daniel Bryan and Bad News Barrett with R-Truth on commentary with a mysterious bag.

Bryan would go on to get the win but was attacked by BNB after the match who informed R-Truth that he was coming for him next.

As BNB was leaving, he would then be attacked by the onrushing Dean Ambrose who was on his way out for his match against the man holding the title, Stardust.

Ambrose would get the win over Stardust and claim possession of the title..... Until BNB came back out to try and take what was his.

One by one, the men involved in the WrestleMania ladder match would enter the equation including Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan and Luke Harper.

Whilst the six men in the ring fought, Truth would sneak up with his bag and slide the title belt into it and sneak back onto commentary, what happened next was nothing short of hilarious.

Tag teams in turmoil?

Similar to the Intercontinental Championship scenario, the whole tag team division seemed to be out to prove a point tonight.

It began with a clash between the reigning tag team champions Cesaro and Tyson Kidd and the New Day.

This would lead to a surprising victory by the New Day courtesy of Xavier Woods getting the pin over Kidd.

Out next came the Usos who were scheduled for a match against Los Matadores.

It was however another shock as Los Matadores got a surprising victory over the Usos as they looked to start a push towards WrestleMania.

Naomi vs Natalya

In the middle of the tag team drama we had a divas contest between two former friends in Natalya and Naomi.

The two put on a good match and when Naomi got the win over her former friend, it was Kidd who she had to thank for causing the distraction to his wife.

AJ Lee vs Summer Rae

AJ Lee made her return to action on RAW for the first time in 2015 by taking on Summer Rae in a match which highlighted the 'GiveDivasachance' movement.

The match went on longer than a regular divas match with both competitors getting the chance to showcase their in-ring ability.

There was even talk of a divas title run in the future for Summer Rae from the commentary table.

Despite her push from the announcers, she lost to AJ tonight after being locked in the black widow and forced to tap out.
