Angel di Maria will only serve one game ban

Angel di Maria will not serve an additional suspension for man-handling referee Michael Oliver during last night's FA Cup quarter-final defeat against Arsenal. The Manchester United winger received two yellow cards in the space of one minute after grabbing the official at Old Trafford in remonstration of the caution he'd just picked up for diving on the edge of the Gunners box. Di Maria will now miss Sunday's Premier League clash against Tottenham as a result of the one-game ban, but he'll be available for selection again thereafter as the Football Association will not review the incident. Physical contact with a match official is not a straight red card offence unless the referee deems the force of the contact as violent conduct - and so Oliver's decision to brandish only a yellow card saved the Argentine from further punishment.
