Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could spend as much as £50 million on three player this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The report has claimed that the Gunners boss is on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, centre-back and defensive-midfielder, as he goes in search of improving his side ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.
Premier League duo
It appears that a number of top players are on his shortlist, with two top Premier League stars seemingly being monitored.
The report has suggested that Chelsea star Petr Cech and Southampton ace Morgan Schneiderlin are on the manager's radar, with the defensive duo of Neven Subotic and Aleksandar Dragovic also linked with moves to north London.
Cech is class
Cech, of course, has proved his credentials in England's elite division for some time now, but it remains to be seen as to whether Blues chief Jose Mourinho would be willing to sell to a rival once again.
The goalkeeper may well have lost his regular place in the club's starting XI to Thibaut Courtois, but is still rated as one of the best shot-stoppers in the game.
Schneiderlin, meanwhile, has gone from strength-to-strength at the St Mary's, and would only improve Wenger's options in the middle of the park.
It appears, then, that Wenger will only target one of Subotic or Dragovic, with both players extremely highly rated on the European scene. Subotic, of course, has enjoyed great success at Borussia Dortmund, while Dragovic has been on the rise at Dynamo Kiev.
There's no doubt about it, as an attacking force, Arsenal are irresistible at times, but they still appear to have a vulnerability in their back-line.
A solid midfielder and world-class 'keeper would only help them improve as they go in search of long term success, so the duo of Cech and Schneiderlin appear to be the ideal signings for the club.
Wenger certainly knows where the club are in need of strengthening, and he will be desperate to take the club to the next level.
