Chelsea's Champions League dream crushed

Published Add your comment

Chelsea’s Champions League dream came crashing down around them last night courtesy of an away goals loss to Paris Saint-Germain, but the bitter taste in Jose Mourinho’s mouth won’t be allowed to go anytime soon. PSG captain Thiago Silva has accused The Special One of being the cause for his side’s loss through his disrespect, whilst pundit Graeme Souness labelled the Blues pathetic. The tame display at Stamford Bridge last night has certainly left those associated with Chelsea ripe for the picking, though their knockout means they can concentrate solely on the Premier League title. Sticking with the backlash from last night’s fixture David Luiz has apologised for celebrating his goal against his former club. The Brazilian netted a late equaliser to force extra time in west London but said sorry to fans for allowing his emotions to get the better of him.
