Everyone knows someone who has scored an amazing goal on FIFA. This week, it's the turn of Reddit user JohnE040 to share his outrageous goal with the world.

It must be said that the goal will enter the FIFA archives as one of the greatest goals ever scored on the game.

As Paris Saint Germain took on Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday night, JohnE040 decided to virtually re-enact the game. Although PSG did progress in reality, neither of their goals came close to the virtual screamer scored by Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The ball drops for the Argentine of the edge of the area and he audaciously scorpion kicks it perfectly over what we presume would be a staggered Thibaut Courtois.

If the strike happened in reality, it is fair to say the FIFA Goal of the Year awards would be a mere formality.

The scorpion kick was made famous by Colombian goalkeeper Rene Higuita. In 1995, whilst playing for the national side in a friendly against England at Wembley, the maverick 'keeper decided catching Jamie Redknapp's over-hit cross would be too boring.

Higuita instead flipped both legs behind his head and volleyed the ball away, and stunned fans around the world. The rest as they say is history.
