Gary Cahill admits to Chelsea pressure

Published Add your comment

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has insisted the Blues are under immense pressure after failing to open up an eight point lead at the top of the Premier League table. The England international initially described his side’s situation as ‘desperate’ and then said they need another win to get back on track. Jose Mourinho’s men were dumped out of the Champions League via an away goals defeat to Paris Saint-Germain last week, and fears may be slowly seeping in that they might let their dominant grip over the domestic league slip. In transfer news Mourinho is said to be ready to let the long-serving Petr Cech leave Stamford Bridge as long as his asking price is met. Chelsea’s no.2 remains a world-class asset on his day, and is wanted by the likes of Arsenal, with £20 million said to be the fee the Blues are looking for.
