Jose Mourinho turns TV Pundit in Southampton post-match interview

If you can't beat them, join them; after publicly voicing his anger towards a number of TV pundits in recent weeks, most notably ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Redknapp, it came as an amusing surprise to most when Mourinho appeared to turn his post-match interview with Geoff Shreeves on its head.

As Shreeves was wrapping up the interview, the Portuguese asked him whether he felt that the referee had made the right decision when awarding the Saints a penalty after a foul by Nemanja Matic on Sadio Mane towards the end of the first half.

When the commentator proceeded to reverse the question and ask the manager whether he felt his side were unlucky to not be awarded a penalty for a foul on Ivanovic.

A wry smile appeared on the face of Mourinho after which he sheepishly walked away.

This may come as little surprise when one considers the ease with which Mourinho has been able to use the media to his team's advantage.

He has turned it into a true hallmark of his managerial strategy and the "Special One" certainly didn't fail to deliver with his post-match interview antics. Check out the video below:
