The future of Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva may be somewhat up in the air but the Brazilian himself has revealed that he is relieved after making his first-team comeback during the 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend. The right-back appeared as a late sub on Sunday after scoring an incredible goal for the club’s U21 team last week and said that he wants to be involved with Louis van Gaal’s squad moving forward. Given that Antonio Valencia has been preferred so far we’re not going to hold our breath, but at least he’s heading in the right direction. Elsewhere United fans were given a treat this morning as what’s believed to be images of their new kit for next season were leaked online. Of course they’re sponsored by Adidas meaning the famous three stripes are on the sleeves, but there’s a few other nifty adjustments also made. We’ll let you determine whether or not it’s an improvement.
