GiveMeSport brings you the top headlines from the world of the WWE...

Our main headline today concerns wrestler Santino Marella, who has suffered a devastating injury setback in his return form surgery.

In other news, Paige revealed that she would love to be given the chance to wrestle some of the guys on the WWE roster, while a former Ring of Honor star has been signed by Vince McMahon's company to work in NXT.

We start off with an unfortunate update from former WWE superstar Santino Marella. Marella was interviewed by Joshua Lopez of The Pro Wrestling Experience and revealed that he had a setback on the recovery from his neck surgery that forced him to take an early retirement from the WWE.

"Not too good. Wish I could report better. When I had the initial surgery, I felt a little bit better and started training and then two of the screws came out, so we had to go in and take out all of the titanium," Marella revealed.

"Little set back with regards to the fact that your body tends to overreact with that type of surgery. Your neck tightens up and it's effecting other parts of your back. It's getting there," the Italian added.

Other Headlines:

Over to Paige now, who has revealed that she would like to wrestle against some of her male counterparts. The English born Diva was speaking in an interview where she said she would like to face either Stone Cold Steve Austin, Dean Ambrose or Bray Wyatt in the ring.

A former Ring of Honor star has signed with the WWE. Jimmy Jacobs, a five time tag team champion in ROH will not be wrestling for the WWE however. He will be working for the Creative Team instead, starting in NXT.
