Juventus director Pavel Nedved has admitted that his club have received a bid for Paul Pogba from Paris Saint-Germain, ramping up the speculation that he could make a summer transfer.

The France international’s future looks set to be scrutinised come the end of the season, with a host of clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea included, said to be ready to fight for his signature. Though over the past few weeks Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has made it clear any deal would have to be extremely lucrative, Nedved has insisted his side have already had offers.

Nedved claims

"Yes, PSG sent us an offer," revealed the Czech, according to Le 10 Sport, citing Le Parisien.

"But Paris is not alone. Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are also interested."

Race hots up

The claim might well prompt some of Europe’s other superpowers to move in, with it sure to be a concern that PSG could use their financial muscle to nip in and seize the initiative before others have had the chance. Without doubt Pogba is one of the most prized assets in football now, and a return to the Premier League might well be on the cards given how he has a point to prove there.

Both Chelsea and United are interested in the midfielder, with the Red Devils having of course let him go for free back when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge. If Pogba were to return to Old Trafford it would certainly give him satisfaction, but in a similar manner he might prefer to move to Chelsea in a bid to show his old club what they missed out on.
